steph came to visit for the past two weeks. she left less than 3 hours ago. it was incredible. a reminder of who i am in a place where i feel sometimes a different person. we hiked a 6 day trail to an indigenous ruins (more to come...in a few days) which was phenomenal, difficult, but a beautiful breath of fresh air, and laughed like i haven´t laughed since i arrived in colombia. its a beautiful thing to know there are people in your life who know you so intimately that, even amidst not being able to fully wrap our heads around the excessively different lifestyles that we live at the moment, there is no distance that separates two hearts that love each other deeply.
